New Birth Comes Through Pain

Believe it or not, each Christmas we celebrate how new birth comes through pain. Mary through pain gave birth to the world’s Savior. I am writing this blog for the one who has experienced pain this year, but not the new birth.

John 16:21 states, “Whenever a woman is in labor she has pain, because her hour has come; but when she gives birth to the child, she no longer remembers the anguish because of the joy that a child has been born into the world.

No one escapes pain altogether in their lives, but one can experience the birthing of something new because of it. I am referring to the pain within one’s soul more so than that of physical chronic pain. I believe it is important to see new birth spring forth from the pain experienced through our tests and tribulations.

The new birth of Jesus came through pain and led to His ultimate pain on the cross. However, it was this pain that has brought new birth to each person who believes in His sacrificial death on their behalf. Jesus rose from the dead so you too may have life anew. (Click here for more details.)

Hebrews 12:1-2 (NKJV) states, “Therefore we also, since we are surrounded by so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which so easily ensnares us, and let us run with endurance the race that is set before us, looking unto Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith, who for the joy that was set before Him endured the cross, despising the shame, and has sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.”

Jesus moved past the pain into His glory and position on the throne of God. By God’s grace, He will give you the power to overcome too. It would be awful to have a woman in labor for the rest of her life, never giving birth. Just as ridiculous as this sounds, are Christians who live their entire lives with anguish of soul and never having it birth new things in their lives. Pain can be the doorway to a new: perspective or mindset, lifestyle change, closer relationship with Jesus, opportunity to connect with others, habit, submissive attitude, or way to serve the Kingdom of God, etc.

The glorious new birth of Jesus came through His mother’s pain, and new birth can come through the things you have suffered as well. Let your pain lead to new birth. You do not have to go into a new year halfheartedly or without hope. If you are not sure how or cannot imagine moving past your pain, go to our website and see the new ways we are offering to help you. It is possible. You can testify of a new birth through the pain you have experienced. Why not let us help you? Go to our website and connect today. (Click here for website.)

Merry Christmas!
