I Don’t Mind Waiting

Have you ever wanted something so badly that you found the process of waiting for it overwhelming? Maybe you are waiting for a particular conflict in your life to be resolved. There may be a need for navigation and guidance through the season you are in.
I am in a season of waiting. I have been waiting for answers and for God to open doors for quite some time. There are times I am anxious. There are times when I am sorrowful and full of disappointment. In the midst of this discomfort, I decided to ask God questions that would give me a reason to place my faith in Him again. Questions such as, “Why would an all-powerful God see a tragedy and choose not to fix it immediately?” “Will God bring justice to the unfavorable and rejected individuals of today’s society? When things seem to be going sideways, will God really give us the desires of our heart?

The truth is God cherishes the desires of our hearts. He does have your best interest in mind which is why you can trust Him in the waiting. (Psalm 37:5, Proverbs 3:5, Matthew 6:21, Psalm 37:4)

While You Wait

While waiting for God to provide for you, remember this truth and never forget it. What you are waiting for may be different from what you had expected. When you wholeheartedly give your circumstance to the Lord, you will find it worth it. What I am saying may sound absurd, but I am telling you the truth. Jesus is faithful and responds to those who have faith.

Isaiah 41:10 – “So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.”

The righteous hand of God resembles the perfect Holy work of God. When God promises to uphold us with His righteous hand, this means God promises His perfect provision will rest on us.

God is sovereign and knows how and why things happen. God’s overarching plan is to restore the world and redeem every sinner who calls on Him for salvation. Remember that you are strengthened and supported by the righteous hand of God. If you allow God, He will work everything you are going through for good (Romans 8:28).

With all sincerity, I encourage you to explore and hold tightly to this truth. I understand how challenging it is to wait. I am still learning how to trust God’s righteous hand. Do not give up because God is faithful.
